With the free apoTAN, you secure the login to your account in online banking and authorize transactions. Quickly and easily via the apoTAN app.

ADVANTAGES

• apoTAN combines three security procedures in one app:
• pushTAN - direct transaction authorization in the app: In the pushTAN process, you receive a notification on your smartphone when a transaction needs approval in online banking. Simply open the notification in the apoTAN app and verify if the data in the app matches your authorized transaction. Then, approve the transaction directly in the apoTAN app. No manual entry of the TAN is required. You only need an active internet connection on your smartphone or tablet.
• photoTAN - transaction approval without an internet connection: If your smartphone or tablet is not connected to the internet, you can use the photoTAN function of the apoTAN app. Select the photoTAN option, scan the displayed photoTAN graphic in online banking with the apoTAN app. Then, a 6-digit TAN will be displayed in the app for authorizing the transaction in online banking.
• App2App - security for banking with your smartphone: Authorize transactions within the apoBanking app. Carry out your transactions in the apoBanking app and easily authorize them in your apoTAN app. No manual entry of TAN is required.

IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING THE PREVIOUS APOTAN+ PASSWORD

• The authentication in the apoTAN app was changed from password to PIN with version 5.0. This applies to all new setups and changes.
• All users who had already installed and activated the previous apoTAN+ app (version 4.x) can continue using their previously chosen apoTAN+ password after updating. This password should be entered into the apoTAN PIN field for now.
• Only when changing the password, it is necessary to switch to a new apoTAN PIN.

SECURITY ADVICE

1. The app meets high security standards. However, it is necessary to ensure that the mobile device is free of malware, is up-to-date security-wise, and has screen lock activated to prevent unauthorized access by third parties and secure transactions. Please also note your bank's security guidelines.
2. For security reasons, the app does not work on rooted devices and on mobile devices with jailbreak.
3. As of version 5.0.6, security has been enhanced, allowing only certified third-party keyboards. If the used keyboard does not meet the requirement, the app will close immediately upon startup. Switching to the standard keyboard is necessary.
